Azerbaijan, one of the states of the Caucasus with Turkish origins in Eurasia, is located on the southwestern side of the Asian continent. Historically called the “Land of Fire,” it has a predominantly Azerbaijani ethnic population, mostly Muslim. Azerbaijan is rich in natural resources such as oil, gas, iron, manganese, titanium, copper, gold, and silver. The oil and natural gas sectors play a dominant role in Azerbaijan’s economy. According to the statistical center in Azerbaijan, there were 1 million and 127,000 inhabitants in early 2023.

Itinerary: Baku – Gobustan – Gabala – Sheki

Day 1: Arrival in Baku

  • Welcome at Heydar Aliyev International Airport by the company’s representative.
  • Check-in at the hotel and explore the city in the evening.

Day 2: Baku City Exploration Tour

  • Breakfast in the morning.
  • Visit Heydar Aliyev Center and Baku Conference Hall.
  • Explore Baku Street (Carpet Museum, Little Venice, Sea Mall).
  • Visit Flame Towers and Highland Park.
  • Lunch break: 13:00 – 14:00.
  • Tour of Nizami Street.
  • Explore the Old City (Maiden Tower, Shirvanshahs’ Palace, Museum of Miniature Books, etc.).
  • Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Baku – Gobustan, Mud Volcanoes, and Absheron

  • Breakfast in the morning.
  • Visit mud volcanoes.
  • Explore Gobustan National Park.
  • Visit Bibi-Heybat Mosque.
  • Lunch break: 14:00 – 15:00.
  • Visit the Temple of Fire (Ateshgah).
  • Explore Yanar Dag (Burning Mountain).
  • Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Tour to Gabala City

  • Breakfast in the morning.
  • Visit Friday Mosque in Shamakhi.
  • Explore Nohur Lake in Gabala.

  • Explore Tufandag Ski Resort (Cable Car).

Day 5: Tour of Sheki – Baku

  • Visit Sheki Khan’s Palace.
  • Explore Mr. Sheki’s House.
  • Visit Upper and Lower Caravanserais.
  • Explore the street of sweets and pottery.
  • Visit the Old Albanian Church in Kish Village.
  • Lunch break: 14:00 – 15:00.
  • At the end of the tour, transfer to the hotel in Baku.

Day 6: Open Day in Baku

  • Breakfast in the morning.
  • Free day for photography, hiking, and shopping.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7: Return Home

  • Breakfast in the morning and prepare to transfer to the airport with the company’s representative.
  • We wish you a safe and secure journey home.
